Foie Gras Weekends
We are pleased to offer our guests duck cooking classes, a friendly, gourmet experience steeped in Gascon tradition.
During their stay, participants will discover the secrets of duck carving and canning, and will sample numerous local specialties.
Yann, the owner, had the opportunity to learn from passionate professionals, who generously shared with him the ancestral know-how of duck cooking.
Through his passion, tenacity, and love of the land, Yann has made these courses a signature activity at the Auberge du Cousteau.

How the foie gras weekends work
The courses take place over 2 and a half days:

Arrival on Friday afternoon,
-
Departure on Sunday afternoon, after a gourmet meal.
Participants leave with their own canned duck, proudly prepared during the course.
Included in the package:

All meals (breakfasts, lunches, dinners),

Comfortable accommodation on site.
> Duck and jars are extra.
Courses are also offered during the week, from Monday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon, based on the same principle.
The duck is cut up:

Saturday morning for weekend sessions,

Tuesday morning for weekday sessions.

Optional wine discovery
For the curious, we also offer an introduction to local wine culture, in partnership with the Domaine de Lagajan, located in Eauze, the capital of Armagnac.
Here, you can discover the secrets of winemaking, taste quality wines and Armagnacs, and interact with passionate winemakers.
